Al Hilal have made contact over a possible move for Everton winger Iliman Ndiaye and are now assessing whether an agreement can be reached.
The Saudi Pro League club have opened preliminary discussions regarding the Senegal international. Transfer reporter Fabrizio Romano claims Ndiaye would be willing to consider the proposal, which could provide him with a highly lucrative contract in Saudi Arabia.
Negotiations Remain at an Early Stage
Talks between the parties are still at an initial stage, and no formal agreement has been reached. However, Al Hilal have placed Ndiaye high on their transfer list as they continue to strengthen their attacking options.
The Saudi club recently completed the signing of Crysencio Summerville from West Ham United following the London side’s relegation. That deal could eventually be worth as much as £68 million, showing that Al Hilal are prepared to invest heavily in new players.
Everton are not under immediate pressure to sell Ndiaye. His current contract runs until 2029, which places the Premier League club in a strong position during any negotiations. The fee paid for Summerville could also serve as a reference point if discussions over Ndiaye move forward.
Everton Hold a Strong Position in Any Deal
Ndiaye has become one of Everton’s most important attacking players since joining from Marseille in 2024. The 26 year old has played a major role for the Toffees, but comments made last month suggested he could consider leaving if the right opportunity appeared.
In June, Ndiaye spoke about his ambition to compete in the Champions League. A transfer to the Saudi Pro League would not help him achieve that specific goal, although the financial terms offered by Al Hilal could still influence his decision.
Aston Villa Previously Considered Ndiaye
Romano also reported earlier this month that Aston Villa had contacted Everton to discuss a possible transfer. Villa were looking at Ndiaye as a potential replacement for Morgan Rogers.
The Birmingham club are believed to have stepped back after learning Everton’s asking price. Al Hilal, however, may be more willing to meet the financial demands set by the Merseyside club.
Everton can therefore take a firm position in negotiations and are unlikely to approve a sale unless they receive a substantial offer. Al Hilal’s interest is serious, but the discussions will need to progress before Ndiaye’s future becomes clearer.
