Real Madrid crisis grows before crucial El Clasico

Valverde and Tchouameni incident shakes the squad

Real Madrid are facing a tense build-up to Sunday’s El Clasico against Barcelona.

Reports in Spain claimed that Federico Valverde and Aurelien Tchouameni were involved in a training ground dispute that later continued inside the dressing room.

Real Madrid confirmed that disciplinary proceedings have been opened against both players after the incident.

Valverde later said on Instagram that there was a disagreement, but denied any physical fight. He explained that he accidentally hit a table and suffered a small cut on his forehead.

Valverde ruled out of Barcelona clash

Madrid also confirmed that Valverde suffered head trauma and will miss El Clasico.

The club said the midfielder is at home and in good condition, but he must rest for 10 to 14 days under medical protocol.

An emergency meeting with president Florentino Perez was reportedly held at the training ground after the situation escalated.

More tension around Mbappe and the squad

The Valverde and Tchouameni case is not the only issue at Madrid.

Recent reports also mentioned tension between Antonio Rudiger and Alvaro Carreras, while Kylian Mbappe was said to have argued with a member of Alvaro Arbeloa’s coaching staff.

Mbappe has also faced criticism after photos appeared from his Sardinia trip during injury recovery. His representatives later insisted that he remains fully focused on returning to fitness.

Barcelona can win La Liga in El Clasico

Real Madrid could finish a second straight season without a trophy.

Barcelona are 11 points clear and can secure the La Liga title with a draw against Madrid on Sunday.

The pressure is also rising around interim coach Alvaro Arbeloa. Jose Mourinho has already been linked with a possible return to the Bernabeu.
