Gunners keep watching Vinicius contract situation
Arsenal remain interested in Real Madrid winger Vinicius Jr as they look into a possible transfer that would become one of the biggest moves of the summer if it progressed.

Wage demands add another obstacle

Hamburg wait for Arsenal answer on Fabio Vieira
Away from the Vinicius situation, Arsenal are also working on possible departures. Fabio Vieira remains a player of interest to Hamburg after spending last season on loan with the Bundesliga club.
Arsenal want at least £15m for the Portuguese attacking midfielder. That figure is higher than Hamburg’s current valuation, with reports suggesting the German side are only prepared to pay around £8.5m.

Hamburg chief Eric Huwer has made it clear that the club will not wait forever. He said Hamburg were fond of Vieira after his loan spell, but they would not act without limits.
Huwer added that if Arsenal accept the move, Hamburg would be happy to bring him back. If Arsenal reject the offer, the Bundesliga club will turn its attention to another target.

Arsenal’s summer could depend on how well they balance major transfer ambitions with practical squad management. Vinicius would be a statement signing, but the cost of the deal and his wage demands make it a complicated pursuit.
