Emmanuel Petit Predicts Ange Postecoglou’s Exit from Tottenham

Former Arsenal star Emmanuel Petit has voiced his opinion on the current state of Tottenham under manager Ange Postecoglou. Following a disappointing 2-1 loss to Arsenal, Petit suggests the Australian coach’s future at Spurs is hanging by a thread.

Spurs Players Look “Miserable,” Says Petit

Petit observed that Tottenham’s players appeared disheartened and far from their usual selves during the match against their fierce rivals. He pointed out how key players like Heung-min Son and James Maddison, who once thrived, now seem out of form.

“Look at the players on the pitch,” Petit said. “Son was amazing for five years. Maddison last year was such a great player. What has happened to him?”

“Something Has to Change”

The ex-Arsenal midfielder believes a change is necessary to halt Spurs’ decline. While acknowledging it’s never easy to call for a manager’s dismissal, Petit argues that the simplest and most impactful decision would be to sack Postecoglou.

“You can’t sack all the players, so you have to make the easiest decision and that’s to sack the manager,” Petit told talkSPORT.

Tottenham’s Dire Situation in the Premier League

The loss to Arsenal leaves Tottenham languishing in 13th place in the Premier League, adding fuel to speculation about Postecoglou’s potential departure. With the team’s morale seemingly at an all-time low, Petit asserts that drastic measures are needed to restore Spurs’ competitive edge.
