Tyson Fury Reveals Wife’s Miscarriage Before Usyk Fight

Tyson Fury has shared the heartbreaking news that his wife, Paris, suffered a miscarriage just before his highly anticipated fight against Oleksandr Usyk in May. Fury revealed that Paris was six months pregnant when she lost their eighth child, an event that occurred while he was preparing for the bout in Saudi Arabia.

Fury emotionally described the pain of not being able to support his wife during such a devastating time. “She had to physically give birth to a dead child, on her own, while I was in a foreign country. To go through that on your own isn’t good,” he said.

Despite this tragedy, Paris chose not to tell Fury about the miscarriage before the fight, although he suspected something was wrong when she informed him she wouldn’t be attending the match in Riyadh. “I said to my brother, ‘she’s lost that baby,'” Fury recalled, adding that she confirmed it to him when he returned home after the fight.

Fury’s Performance in the Usyk Fight

Fury emphasized that the miscarriage did not affect his performance against Usyk, a match that he lost by split decision, although he still believes he won. “It’s not an excuse – hell no. I’m a man of honour,” Fury stated, maintaining that he gave his all in the ring.

The two fighters are set to face each other again on December 21, although the IBF belt will not be on the line, as Usyk has chosen to relinquish it instead of making a mandatory defense.
