Chelsea has made it clear that they are satisfied with their current striker options, including Joao Pedro, Liam Delap, and Nicolas Jackson. Despite the recent speculation about Newcastle’s Alexander Isak being available for transfer, Chelsea are not currently looking to rekindle their interest in the Swedish striker.
Isak’s Situation and Chelsea’s Stance
The 25-year-old Isak, who has been exploring a move away from St James’s Park amid interest from Liverpool, was previously a target for Chelsea. The club had considered signing him last summer in a swap deal involving Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang but are now content with their attacking options.
Chelsea’s Focus on Other Signings
Although Chelsea is not pursuing Isak, they remain open to signing a different profile of attacker. The club is in talks with RB Leipzig and Netherlands forward Xavi Simons, and they are also negotiating with Ajax for the acquisition of defender Jorrel Hato. Chelsea’s transfer focus seems to be more geared toward strengthening other areas of the squad at this moment.
